Magickal Kitchen Herbs

Anise
When used in amulets, it is said to protect the wearer against disturbing dreams. Also used in astral travel for protection. Can be used in spell work to aid the person in happiness.

Basil
Protects against the unknown and when blessed and added to your cleaning water, it basically washes away negativity as you clean your home.

Celery Seed
A common kitchen herb that is said to be a strong visionary herb. Used as a tea to open the mind and allows better concentration.

Dill
Used in blessings for the home and kitchen.

Fennel
Used for the practice of meditation.

Ginger
Worn in an amulet to strengthen health and protect the wearer.

Hop
Not necessarily found in the kitchen (unless you count the beer in the fridge) Used in dream pillows to bring restful sleep.

Milkweed
Definitely not in the kitchen LOL. However, the milky white liquid produced when breaking open the stalk is said to remove warts.

Rosemary
When burned as an incense, is said to stimulate the memory.

Sage
Used to banish all evil, in purification, healing and cleansing.

Tarragon
Used in kitchen magick to calm the guests and make them feel welcome.

Thyme
When burned as an incense it is used to protect against all dangerous insects and animals.
